For the time being, old MESS can be compiled using "SUBTARGET=mess" while older MAME (arcade only) can be made with "SUBTARGET=arcade". As a result, MESS links here will likely only be available up to 0.161 with anything beyond expected to be obtained at the MAME link. Please Note: In all source release versions starting with 0.162, MAME is a binary which consists the entirety of source (including the former MESS project).
